If you go a little further than Miyajima Aquarium, there is the Omoto Shrine at the entrance to the serene Omoto Park. It is a unique place where giant fir trees grow. It is also a place where the tang of the sea air, and the fragrance of the forest mix. Omoto Park has been famous for its cherry blossom trees and it is one of the ‘Eight Most Beautiful Views’ of Itsukushima.
